Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef (minced beef)
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Pickles, to taste
  • Ketchup, to taste
  • Mustard, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheese-topped beef patty, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  7. Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
