Ingredients
- 500g ground beef (minced beef)
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Pickles, to taste
- Ketchup, to taste
- Mustard, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on one side.
- Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheese-topped beef patty, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
- Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
