- 8 slices of rye bread
- 250 grams mushrooms, sliced
- 150 grams fresh pineapple, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 200 grams cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
- Lemon juice for drizzling
Instructions
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced mushrooms until they are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with fresh dill, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each slice of rye bread.
- Top each slice of bread with sautéed mushrooms, diced pineapple, and slices of bell peppers.
- Drizzle with a little lemon juice and garnish with additional dill if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your festive Smørrebrød!
