- 200 g whole wheat flour
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 150 ml water (adjust as needed)
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional for slight sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional for flavor)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and caraway seeds.
- Make a well in the center and add the melted butter and water gradually while mixing.
- Knead the dough until it is smooth, adding more water or flour as necessary to achieve a soft but not sticky consistency.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a flat circle about 5 mm thick.
- Preheat a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium heat.
- Cook each bread disc for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the pan and let cool on a wire rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature with butter, cheese, or your favorite spread.
